The Queen of Questions

War of Art…

One of the frequent goals people make at the first of the year is to read more. Anyone who knows me, knows reading is already a deeply ingrained part of my life. I love to read. I also love to re-read. Yup. Not content with just a first pass at a good book I will go back again. Sometimes a third or fourth time reveals hidden gems or insights I blew past the first few times. I can’t tell you how many times I have re-read Genesis and taught the same material only to see something totally new with another trip around the mountain.

This year I have a desire to share some of my thoughts and insights on one book a week from the many I am reading. So far this year, I have completed 5 books. I have bookmarks in about 20 others at various points and scattered around several reading locations.

The book I have started for this coming week is The War of Art by Stephen Pressfield. I have it on Kindle and a paperback version somewhere in the cases of books yet to be unpacked. You may not be familiar with Pressfield’s writings. He first came to my attention from a movie he wrote, “The Legend of Bagger Vance”. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it as well.

So, what about you? What are you reading? What have you decided to do with the time left to you? Do you have a book you read, re-read and recommend? Tell me about it. I’m always on the look out for another good book.
