The Queen of Questions

Freedom of speach

I’ve made several attempts to post an new blog. But for some reason the words just haven’t wanted to co-operate and behave themselves. A wise woman recently reminded me that I put to much emphasis on trying to make them behave. So today I have decided to just let them do what they want to do. Let them say what they want to say. After all who am I to tell them what to express or how to express it. Oh, wait…I’m the writer, the author, if you will. They are my tools and the stuff of my craft but much more than that they are the lasting outward manifestation of my inward thoughts and feelings. So if they are the outward reflection of the inward I am left with the very real possibility that it is not the words that refuse to co-operate but the thoughts and feelings. Are they reluctant to be heard and seen? Are they in such disarray that forming words and coherent sentences is too much to expect of them at this point? Have they simply decided that being orderly is more effort than they are willing to exert?

Dear words,
I apologize for trying to make you do the work without the guidance you need. Until the thoughts and feelings get their act together consider yourselves on paid leave. If, and when, you are needed back at work I’m sure you will be well rested and once again of great service.
Thank you.

  1. Is it possible the unruly thoughts and feelings need air time and don’t want you to keep editing and censoring them according to a standard that feels like a straight jacket to them?

Is it possible that the thoughts and feelings NEED the words in order to be processed properly?

    Just wondering…
